Technical information and explanations in our catalogs
To the catalog downloadAn Oil Pressure Head (BOZA) performs four functions on a deep boring machine when working according to the BTA-principle:
- It supplies the annulus space between the inner surface of the bore and the drill tube
- It seals the drill tube and the workpiece
- It acts as a reception for the boring bush and determines the starting point of the bore
- when sealing the workpiece by using a conus, it also centers the workpiece
The following variants are available:
Oil Pressure head to use with non-rotating workpiece
Type 2210 - Oil Pressure Head with non-rotating clamping cone to hold, center and seal the workpiece
Type 2220 - Oil Pressure Head with non-rotating face seal
Oil Pressure head to use with rotating workpiece
Type 2250 - Oil Pressure Head with rotating clamping cone to hold, center and seal the workpiece
Type 2270 - Oil Pressure Head with a rotating face seal which is pressed by coolant pressure
