The production of hydraulic cylinders is a general field of application for deep hole boring. The cylinders are made of two different types of tubes: Tubes with high overmeasure to the finished diameter (i.e. hot- rolled or hot- drawn tubes) and precision steel tubes, welded or cold- drawn with low overmeasure to the finished diameter. Demanded are geometrical round bores with a surface to suit for caulking. For his reason the tube generally get worked on by skiving and roller burnishing. To increase the operating efficiency, this procedure can be combined in one tool. For tubes with high overmeasure, a counter boring tool can be attached to the tool(triple-combi tool). The combined tools distinguish from each other in the operating direction on one hand, on the other hand in the number of work steps.
The following types are available:
Typ 1232 - Skiving in push direction, roller burnishing in pull direction, hydraulically operated. Boring range: Ø 20,00 mm – Ø 39,99 mm.
Typ 1207 - Skiving in push direction, roller burnishing in pull direction, hydraulically operated.
Boring range: Ø40,00 - Ø401,99 mm
Typ 1230 - Skiving and roller burnishing in one push boring operation, hydraulically operated.
Boring range: Ø50,00 - Ø401,99 mm
Typ 1220 - Counter boring, skiving and roller burnishing in one push boring operation, hydraulically operated.
Boring range: Ø68,00 - Ø401,99 mm
